Counseling Services

In many ways as a college student, you are beginning a new chapter in your life. Through your education, relationships and personal development, you are making decisions today that will leave an indelible mark on your future. At the Counseling Center, we seek to assist you in your journey by providing opportunities for growth in a safe and confidential environment. We offer, to any student who desires, assistance, guidance, or just a listening ear, through individual, group and/or couples counseling.

The Counseling Staff

Jaklin Peake serves our campus as Director of Counseling. Jakie is a nationally certified, Licensed Professional Counselor who holds the Master of Arts in Counseling. She brings nearly 15 years of experience working with individuals, groups, and families. Jakie and a professional staff of Master's and Doctoral-level counseling interns are available to all Concordia students, at no charge.

Location

The Counseling Center is located on the lower level of Centennial Hall, in offices 7, 8, 10 and 11.

Appointments & Schedule

To make an intake appointment with a counselor, call the Counseling Directory line at 503 493-6499 and press 1 or stop by Student Services between 9am- 5pm Monday through Friday.

Before your intake appointment, you will be asked to complete the Counseling Center's Intake Form which contains questions about your concerns as well as other questions about health, family, relationships, etc. This form is used by the counselor to obtain a more complete understanding of you and your concerns. This form will be e-mailed to you when you make a phone appointment or you can pick one up from Student Services.

Please bring the completed intake form with you to your intake appointment.
